Californian Tri Tip Recipes

TRI TIP ON THE BBQ

 

Ingredients:

3 tbsp. Opa Helmut’s Tri-Tip seasonings

2 lbs. Tri Tip

2 tbsp. cream horse radish



Directions:

Put meat in a bowl; mix 2 tbsp cream horseradish with 3 tbsp Opa Helmut’s Tri Tip seasoning.  Rub seasoning around meat.  Let stand for 20 minutes.  Sear all sides of meat until crust is dark golden brown.  Cover and cook for 20 minutes per pound of meat (turning the meat every 10 minutes).  Cook to taste or if you have a meat thermometer 140*F inside.

Pork, Poultry & BBQ Recipes

SIZZLING PORK RIBS

 

Ingredients:

2 tbsp Opa Helmut’s pure organic seasonings

1 tbsp Chili powder

1 tbsp hot mustard

1 tbsp honey

1 onion, chopped in larger pieces

1 can organic diced tomatoes with juice

4 garlic cloves, peeled

4 pounds meaty pork ribs



Directions:

Preheat oven to 400*F.  Combine all ingredients except the meat in a blender and purée.  Pour Opa Helmut’s seasoning over ribs.  Bake for 80 minutes, turning every 20. 

Beef, Lamb & Burger Recipes

GERMAN STYLE LAMB STEW

 

Ingredients:

3 tbsp Opa Helmut’s Beef & Lamb seasoning

2 tbsp clarified butter, 2 lb lamb cut in cubes

1 cup water, 2 large onions diced

4 garlic cloves, chopped, 1 twig rosemary

1 glass red wine



Directions:

Mix spice with lamb.  Fry lamb and rosemary twig in butter.  Let brown for 10 minutes. Add onions and chopped garlic until glazed.  Deglaze with water and let simmer until nearly vaporized, discard rosemary. Add red wine, reduce heat and simmer for 50 minutes.

Zesty Vegan Recipes

GREEN DEVILED EGGS

 

Ingredients:

6 hard boiled eggs and 2 ripe avocados

1 Tbsp lime or lemon juice

½ tsp Opa Helmut’s Zesty Vegan seasoning

1 Tbsp chopped cilantro or parsley

½ jalapeno pepper, finely chopped

1 Tbspspring onion, finely chopped



Directions:

Cut eggs in half.  Mash yolks and avocados together in bowl.  Add lime juice, seasoning, cilantro, jalapeno pepper and spring onion.  Add avocado mixture into eggs. Top with cilantro, parsley or chopped spring onion.

Fish & Vegetables Recipes

GUACAMOLE

 

Ingredients:

2 big avocados, peeled, keep the seeds

1/2 bunch cilantro

1 clove garlic

1/4 onion

3 jalapeno chilies

1/2 cup water

3 tsp Opa Helmut’s Fish & Vegetable seasoning

6 lime or 2 lemons, juiced



Directions:

Mix all ingredients in blender until smooth.  Put guacamole into serving dish and add the seeds into the guacamole to prevent browning.

Sweet & Savory Recipes

HAZELNUT WHITE BEAN HUMMUS

 

Ingredients:

¼  cup pumpkin seed oil

¼ cup water

15 ounces organic Great Northern Beans, rinsed and drained

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1 cup whole hazelnuts,1 cup chopped basil

2 tbs. Opa Helmut’s Rub Sweet and Savory seasoning



Directions:

Place all ingredients in food processor until smooth.  Plate and serve.
